Good mornin’, Readers! How was your weekend? Mine was good. I want to give you the beautiful gift of devotional with you all. Since I have encountered Jesus, I see people in the world are looking for a savior. Lecrae is a Christian rapper. He speaks for many of us when he says, “I’m not a Christian because I’m strong and have it all together. I’m a Christian because I’m weak and admit I need a savior.” The truth of Christianity is that in Jesus you do need a Savior. What would you respond to this Good News?
When you try to find a true savior, I pray for your soul to be guided by Christ. I feel lost in the world and I only call out to God for help. As Nicky Gumbel says, “Life is a battle. If we fly God’s flag, there are bound to be those who will be out to get us.” I read David prays in Psalms 35:1-10 that God would contend with those who contend against him. I am like him that I pray for people to need to stop contending with me. As I am sensitive with that. But I understand that it’s God’s plan for my life. I keep faith in Jesus through the battles of my life. When you are feeling hurt by the enemy, it is easy for you to feel that it must be your fault. But twice David repeats that his enemies desire to trap him is without cause. Sometimes you may face the trial not because you are doing something wrong but because you are doing something right. David prayed for God to rescue him. I stay strong when I face the verbal abuses and bullies. God is my Savior who rescues me and my son.
Jesus is the Savior of the world. I am excited about the beautiful Christmas message! As I am thrilled to read the Good News at Luke 2:21-40. The biblical people in New Testament were finally to hear that the Messiah was born. Jesus said in John 14:9, Anyone who has seen me has seen the father. Jesus fully reveals God for everyone.
Jesus is a Light for the world. As God is glorious, excellence, beauty, greatness and perfection. And that Jesus brings glory in its truest and fullest sense. As John writes of Jesus in John 1:14b, “We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” Jesus brings glory to Israel and to us, because Jesus is God coming to live among us.
Sadly, there are so many people who reject Jesus. We are so blessed to being so closely associated with Jesus. But sadly, I have a family member and my best friends (now former best friends) I really care about who are really not interested in Jesus. When we see our loved ones who reject Jesus we have a “sword” that will pierce our own souls. But the beautiful joy of seeing Jesus our Savior! We should seek to imitate Him in our own lives.
With that beautiful being said, I hope whoever seek a savior accept Jesus as their Savior. Have a good blessed week. Light and love 💖❤️, Loi
