Good evening, Readers!
How was your weekend? Mine was fine. I had some relaxing time yesterday. It was nice. I am grateful that I got to live content. I choose God over money because contentment is what I really need. I have is all I have as I do not have to work so hard for earning money. Life is short on catching the wind. Read Psalm 119:73-80.
Your time is precious. It is your most valuable possession. You can go to work and make more money but you cannot more time for yourself. So, how do you live content with God? If your hope is in God and his Word, then you will have time for him. Spend time seeking to understand God’s Word. And spend time with God is the way in which he breathes his wisdom into you. He comforts you so that you can live content.
If you live content, you will encourage others to do the same. Likewise, it is encouraging for us to see other people who are hoping in God’s word.
Do not think that having more money makes you live content. You have housing, food and clothing should be enough. Be thankful for what you have. Live content is worth more than you work so hard. People who want to get rich will fall into temptation. Paul said that money is the root of evil. The love of money can be extremely dangerous. Whether you are very wealthy or hardly have any money, the danger is the same – to love money. The temptation is there, whether it is to love money you already have, or money you would dearly love to have. Instead of loving and pursuing money, love and pursue a righteous life. He does not command them to give all their money away, but not to put their hope in being wealthy.
Jesus promises you to receive security and contentment. So, live content and may your new week be bringing you peace and happiness. Light & Love, Loi
