It’s October! BOO! And it’s a charming month… I plan to blog gratitude for this new month. I am starting to blog the daily thankful note. And I am keeping my prayer. Recently summer time I converted to ritually prayer in the mornings & evenings. And how I keep praying to God. I took S.O.A.P prayer journal devotional. I want to keep my prayer…Attaining the successful goals and happiness. I want to be peace in my life. I’m grateful for people who I know are part of my life.
Today I made the orange cornmeal. It’s a yummy soulful food! I’m thankful for it.
This potato is the sign of heart that love to serve food to the need of hungers.
I want to share with you about what I learn from the hospitality.
If you love people, you do what they need. Like you invite them to come to your house and feed them. But you don’t want to invite the cruel people who offend you and hurt your feeling. You want the peaceful people in the house you live in. That is the wisdom.
If you have a driver’s license and the person need help with driving education, teach her. Don’t tell her that a car is expensive while you are still driving anyway. However, if you don’t teach her how to drive, you may be regretted about your future car if it is collapsed and you need help with learning how to take a bus, this person will not teach you. So, in my belief, it is fair.
If someone is not feeling well, you come to check on the one and ask how he or she is feeling.
You have a good effort to show love to people no matter you don’t like their personality.
Now, after you have done what you have done for the need of people. They are taking turn to do what you need. If they do what you need, the love will remain grow and fond to each other. And that is very important. If there is no hospitality, then people are hateful and neglected. We want peace, not war. We want love, not hate. God loves people mean you love people. So do that and imitate His personality.

After a pacific English teacher resigned school for her pregnancy reason, she substituted to a little schoolmistress. A little schoolmistress is currently a new English teacher at SMSD. She’s so cute. She is working hard to teach her students in English class.
A little schoolmistress lives in a Sicilian side of Buffalo. She is teaching her students to how to write the Standard English. Her father and her aunt were learning English when they were little after they got to Buffalo from Sicily. They still speak Italian and so that a little schoolmistress’ dream came true of teaching English at SMSD. She is practice teaching her father and her aunt English at home and that make her an expert English teacher.
Her aunt was finding out that a little schoolmistress choose SMSD to teach English over Sts Columba-brigid Montessori. She was not happy with her chosen. Why was she not happy? Because of SMSD is not a place for a little schoolmistress to teach her deaf students English. She thought that English is for hearing only; the hearing can speak and write. Deaf is hand sign which not speak and write standard language. What a discrimination her aunt was! A little schoolmistress sat down with her aunt and explained about the special needs. Deaf can do anything! Deaf can sometimes speak and can write English. Aunt understood that situation and felt apologize to the deaf students.
Now a little schoolmistress is returning to work at SMSD after she fought a battle with her aunt. She enjoys her teaching English job at SMSD.
Do you ever wonder what to pray for? In the morning, I’m praying to God for my day and in the night, thanking Him for the day before I go to sleep. But as an adult, I need more real prayers.
Then, I looked up the scripture Psalm 92:1-2:
“It is good to praise the Lord
and make music to your name, O Most High,
proclaiming your love in the morning
and your faithfulness at night,”
The psalmist proclaimed God’s love in the morning. When we proclaim God’s love in the morning, we sent a greeting message to one another with bold declarations of God’s remaining character.
And, let us boldly declare God’s loving-kindness. Yes, God is Love. He is Good. And He will keep His promises. Whatever the day we face, we can bring our way because we’ve placed our trust in our loving God.
And as we embrace our pillows at night, we reflect on every day: God is Faithful. He is true to His character. He keeps His Word.
When my son threw his Cheerios on the floor, God’s presence soothed me. When the wrong church trashed me to the dangerous women’s shelter, God was with me to shield me from an angry woman. When someone who I know has gossiped about me, God’s love surrounded me.
This changes everything. In the morning we wake up reminding ourselves of who God is and in the night we go to sleep we recall how God proved His character is not changing. And in this simple practice, we are learning to see God’s presence and to savor His goodness in our daily lives.
Declaring God’s love over your life: This is who He is. And as you go to bed, reflect how God has been faithful to His promises in every day, and join the psalmist to thanking Him.
Family is falling apart in during tumultuous seasons, one of the Christian bloggers have studied at her college chapel service, the tears streaming down on her cheeks as the speaker recited the lyrics to a simple children’s song: “My God is so big, so strong, and so mighty, there’s nothing my God cannot do.”
This lyrics is making me to reflect on God, yes, He is so big, so strong, and so mighty, there’s nothing my God cannot do. He is really so loving, so good, and so kind. But the two truths became our anchor of our broken hearts in during tumultuous times to follow: God is all-powerful, and God is all-loving.
God longs to rescue us and does so at great cost to Himself: God sent His own Son to bring us back into a relationship with Himself. And God continues to pour out His power and mercy to save us.
We can join with David in Psalm 59:16-17:
“But I will sing of your strength,
in the morning I will sing of your love;
for you are my fortress,
my refuge in times of trouble.
You are my strength, I sing praise to you;
you, God, are my fortress,
my God on whom I can rely.”
God, I need to trust you. Because your love for me to sing praises to you, Lord. You are my fortress, my strength and my power, nothing you cannot do. Amen.
What comes to mind when you see the word “self-control”?
I confess that word makes me cringe. I think of how to self-control in my daily routines: my bedtime, my morning routine, my prayer ritual, my diet, my social media use, my feeling, just to name a few.
Your areas of struggles may be different, but mostly we could use more self-control. Even Solomon said in Proverbs 25:28:
Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.
That verse is worth to highlight in your Bible. In Solomon’s time, the cities were only as safe as their walls were strong. A city with broken walls was vulnerable to enemy attack.
It is the same thing to the devil is out to destroy our souls. He will use a smart plan to kill our hope and ruin our testimony. Sadly, the enemy often find an “in” through our self-indulgence. Yes, those good gifts that comfort us can easily becomes the very things that threaten our spiritual life.
But remember that self-control is God’s Spirit work in us as Galatians 5:22-23. As we spend time with Jesus, He transforms the desires of our hearts and empowers us to resist temptation. God is our Refuge and Strength. We can run to Him because no devil can destroy our soulful faith.
It’s easy to refine more towards someone without opening our hearts to them. It’s more harder to live love out, especially when they’re hard to love.
The apostle John understood this very well. John experienced the rich of Jesus’ personal love and wrote a lot on the subject in his letters. But like the rest of us, John learned to love the hard way.
Read the whole story about the two brothers, John and James asked Jesus to give them prominent places in the new government in Mark 10:32-45.
It’s perhaps with this historical story in mind that John wrote to the early churches in 1 John 3:16. John learned this lesson the hard way, and he was eager for early believers to learn and live this out as well, as he continues: Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
So lovingly serve those God places in our lives. Let’s just talk about live love out.
When your kids “help” you with pancakes but make a big mess, you love them.
When the person who offends you walking by in the church hallway, you love that person.
When you’re tempted to bring the past about your ex, you love, forgive and move on.
Loving people gets harder the closer we get to them, because opening our hearts means opening ourselves to the risk of hurt.
Our families and neighbors will see Jesus’ love in us in what we do. May we be who love well.
I admitted that I have not shown loving hospitality. I felt bitter about one uninvited guest showed up at my baby’s shower party. I told her to leave and she was really mad at me. Later on I was like “Oops, I didn’t mean that.” But it was kind of too late to receive forgiveness.
You see, that wouldn’t have been me. God’s Spirit has convicted me that I opened my home. It easier to talk about God’s love than it is to live out, especially toward people who offends our feelings. And sometimes those offends transform us into new relationships, making us to not to invite again, open the door again, and love again. It’s just too hard to forgive!
But if we are in the place that God softens our hearts, then we are opening our home to invite anyone again.
In the Bible story about Paul’s missionary journeys to Philippi, he was wrongly accused and mistreated, suffering at the hands of those he was hoping to reach with Jesus’s Good News. But Paul saw these hardships as God’s way of purifying his motivations, stripping him of any people-pleasing or selfish ambitions.
At the risk of being misunderstood and rejected, Paul continued to pursue relationships in 1 Thessalonians 2:7b-8.
You see, the gospel was always meant to be poured out into relationships. And yes, that’s going to cost us just like a new mom care for her tiny baby in the million ways. So we are called to love those around us with the love of Jesus, even when it costs us our own personal comforts.
Who is God calling you to show love toward this week? Consider inviting one person for tea, and ask God to empower you to share your hope and heart with that person.
Imagine you have a million dollars in your bank. What would you spend with that kind of money? Do you think it would make you happy?
While I don’t have a magical money in my bank, Paul tells us to praise the Lord in Ephesians 1:3.
Did you read that verse? God blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms.
Every blessing is you already have in Jesus. Peace, Joy, Love, Patience, Self-Control, Kindness and Life Eternal – All are yours in Christ Jesus.
You already have everything you need in Jesus if you belong to Him, more than you could ever want-a heavenly inheritance beyond your dreams.
So write down what you are grateful for today. I’m thanking God for already providing me, along with the abundance of spiritual blessings that are yours in Christ.
It is better than having a million dollar in the bank, God’s blessings satisfy our souls’ deepest longings. We have Jesus. And He is enough.
